Euros

Am I crazy? (yes, but don%26#39;t answer!) which is the standard currency now? CZK or EU? Thinking about making another little short, romantic trip next month.

Thanks so much!

The official currency is Ceska Koruna, Czech Crown.

thanks--we%26#39;ve been overseas in frnace and saw some news about slovenia using the euro so I%26#39;m not crazy!!

Just a slight geographic correction:

Slovenia uses Euro from 1.1.2007. It%26#39;s former part of former Yugoslavia, capital city Ljubljana.

Slovakia is new user of Euro from 1.1.2009. It%26#39;s neighbour of Czech republic and former part of former Czechoslovakia, capital city Bratislava.

BTW You can correct my poor English in return. ;-)

silly french tv stations--I can%26#39;t remember if they said slovenia or slovakia!! thanks and your english is fabulous. my geography is fine, I just didn%26#39;t recall the info correctly. must be a little blonder than usual today!

Prague uses the CZK Crown. They may accept the Euro, but use their own conversion rate and give you Crowns for change.

It is very cold there right now, but what a beautiful %26quot;Old World City%26quot;!!
