Atm Pin?

From the searching, I found 2 different answers:-

(1) MUST be 4 digits. If original country ATM card PIN is 6 digits, must change it before we can use in Prague.

(2) If the PIN in our original country is 6 digits, although the screen ask for 4 digits, we just complete key in our 6 digits PIN as usual.

Which answer is correct? We are using 6 digits PIN.
