cost for train ticket on franz kafka f454 prague to munich

Where can I find the price for purchasing tickets while in Prague for 3 adults one way on the Franz Kafka from Prague hl.n. to Munchen Hbf?

I see prices for the other trains between Prague and Munich on the Czech rail site but not for the non-stop Franz Kafka.

The DB site lists prices but they are rather steep and I don%26#39;t believe the prices reflect the Czech rail ticket prices.

Look here http://www.cd.cz/static/eng/ and if you don%26#39;t find send them question by e-mail to info@cd.cz. There is a complicated system of price reductions especially if you are travelling 3 together.

Prizes of tickets of Czech Railways are here: www.jizdenka.cz (it%26#39;s in Czech or in English) - there you can find prizes of tickets (national and also international).

It%26#39;s true, that you can have a bit reduced fee, if you are going 3 together. But on this way you will save only 64,- CZK each, so it%26#39;s easier for you (as a foreigner not able to speak and understand Czech) to buy %26quot;normal%26quot; tickets.

There is also a reduced fee for Prague -%26gt; München (%26quot;München Spezial%26quot;), but it apply only on return tickets (56 EUR per person, return ticket).

It costs 1370,- CZK (or 53,30 EUR) per person from Prague to München.

That prizes are for second class. First class 2159,-

CZK (or 84,- EUR) per person.

Thank you for this information.

So what you are saying is it might be a better price to purchase a round trip ticket?

I hope the above link works - If you buy a return ticket, it will be cheaper than twice single,if you know wat I mean, but if you do not need the return than single ticket is cheaper. So just buy one way ticket.

Thanks for all the advice.

What we hope to do is:

1. purchase a reduced price Deutsche Bahn Bayern Lander ticket from Furth i Wald to Munich (when we are in Munich before traveling to Rome and Prague).

then when we are ready to leave Prague for our return to Munich we can:

2. purchase a reduced price Czech Rail group ticket from Prague to Furth i Wald.

That should cover both the Czech and German parts of our trip back to Munich at a reduced group rate.

Hmmm - correct me if I%26#39;m wrong, somebody, but I reckon the fact that Furth im Wald is in Germany cancels out any group reduction savings as it is classed as an international destination. If you get a ticket from Prague to Domazlice, 20 km down the line, it is only 162 Crowns, however to Furth it is 301 Crowns, which is quite a difference.

I would just go with tur domaci%26#39;s recommendation and go with the %26#39;normal%26#39; ticket option.

Also I%26#39;m not sure if the Deutsche Bahn Bayern Lander ticket is valid on long-distance trains - you%26#39;ll have to check in the Germany forum for that.

I am confused - the original question is only about the price of one way ticket from Prague to Munich on Franz Kafka.

|||

Indeed it was, but read the message immediately preceding my post.

Yes, I%26#39;ve read that as well, and it does not make much sense. Or I am exceedingly thick. (no replies required)

So they are travelling by train from Munich to Prague on Dbahn single ticket, and spliting the return trip into 2 parts - the Czech bit and the German bit.

And would all this be cheaper?
