Thanks,

Pastyrka looks very nice.

How would one get to Pastyrka from Andel%26#39;s hotel via Metro and/or Tram? Can someone advise? Thanks!

Take tram 7 from Anděl stop and get off at Otakarova (8 stops, 13 minutes). Go back (30-50 m) to the last crossing, cross two roads and go uphill about 150 m on the left side of the road, it%26#39;s number 15 (Bělehradská 15).

It%26#39;s a street in which the train would come if it would go left instead of going ahead on the last crossing.

I took my wife %26amp; daughter to Pastyrka last March and it was the best evening of our trip.

On arrival it looks like a bit of a tourist trap, but in fact, the food is very good quality as is the service. Excellent wine list, the prices are fair, about the same as in Prague Centre. The musicians were very talented indeed and not aggresive or in your face. If you want them to play at your table, you ask the waiter and he sends them over, you pay them a cash gratuity. Otherwise they are playing in centre of the restaurant for a cover charge of about 50cz.

It%26#39;s worth the trip out here, it doesn%26#39;t taske long.

Try and book a table close to the centre grill, it adds another interest to the evening seeing the food grilled.

Thanks for the directions! Would reservations be required on a weeknight? If so, should I book through my hotel, or calling directly is the best? Do they speak English?

I%26#39;d like a table as close to the music as possible.

Thanks for any info!

Email the from the website, asking for a table near the grill and time you want, and they should send a confirmation of your reservation. It could be very quiet in the week, it was we we went but still a nice evening.

We booked by email in advance and were expected and pampered :-)

They speak perfect english
