Hi, you will get lots of tips. I think La Perle de Prague is a bit of a tourist trap and business thing now. Same Helgertova Cihelna, too much tourists and the service has gone worse recently. Try Kampa park of the same group instead or rather Bellevue with a great view over the charles Bridge and the Castle.

Cafe Savoy - definetely for brunch. Site worth looking is www.grand-restaurant.cz - with all the tips you need. My favourite at the moment - La Degustation Boheme - it is a feast (high end). Also recommend Cafe Imperial for lunch or dinner - beautiful interior and 1 of the best Prague`s chefs. With Ambiente restaurants you will not make a mistake for lunch or a normal dinner. Pack som ewarm clothes and enjoy. Lucie

I have to agree with Lucie Cafe Imperial for lunch or dinner - Beautiful interior the art noveaux decor is fantastic, try it for morning coffee to give you a taste of the place.

I had a very nice romantic (what am I saying) dinner at U Modre Kachnicky (Blue Duckling). This is on Kampa, and not too far from your hotel.

La Perla, the French restaurant mentioned above at the top of the dancing building aka Ginger and Fred : I read last year la Perla would soon be closed denitively. Maybe not doing a good business? Perhpas still open in January?

|||

I heard that too Kat but their website is still up and running so it must still be open.

Well according to the site below, La Perla is already CLOSED.

Re : Café Imperial, I have not dined there (perhaps I might next time after reading above recommendations) but was there a few times for drinks, especially for champagne. It was of course more expensive than a glass of beer but still cheap for real French champagne (czk100 or less - that%26#39;s almost half of what I have paid anywhere else), not prosecco, not cava nor bohemian sekt, real champagne. If you enjoy champagne (I do), it is an interesting choice here, the glass is a large generous typ. Combined with above mentioned great decor of the café, I enjoye being there.
