Good Dark Beer Bar

Hi, I love Czech dark beer and good old tradional Czezh staples (epecially anything served with bacon dumplings).

This year we are over on the west side of the Vltava so looking for things in and around mala strana

U Černého Vola, in Loretanské Nám. taps a very good version of Kozel Dark. Baranicka Rychta taps Svijany Dark. Both are on the sweeter side. Now, if you have a bit more to spend, I%26#39;d recommend Pivovar Strahov, a micro brewery, here for more details …blogspot.com/2008/04/if-only.html . All their beers are much hoppier than the average.

Otherwise, Malostranská Restaurace, in Karmelitská taps Budvar Dark (winner of the SPP awards in its category).

Malostranská Pivnice taps Master 18% a stronger dark beer, pretty good. Ideal for winter.
