ticket sales at prague main train station

Can anyone tell me when the ticket sales offices are open at the main train station by Wenseslas Square?

Do the ticket sales offices stay open 24/7 or do they open and close at specific hours during the day?

this doesn%26#39;t apply to Martha as she obviously has a pretty extensive travel background. However, it may help those who have not purchased rail tickets before, and don%26#39;t speak the local language. Write it all down (if you%26#39;ve done your homework) before you get to the ticket window. Having no Czech language skills, we did it like this:

Train number (ie ECxxx)

from/to (ie Praha-Budapest)

date (ie 25/12/2009)

time (ie 23:59)

class (sorry, don%26#39;t know this in Czech)

number of passengers (ie pax x 2)

If there%26#39;s a bunch of you, you can get a great group rate ticket price.

cheers,

I believe that the manned ticket counters at Hlavni nadrazi are open every day from 4 a.m. to 1 a.m. So close only between 1 and 4 during the night. Every day.

They should give that info on the site I posted above should`nt they Penny ,its very missleading.

Torii, I thought Martha was asking about actually buying the tickets at the manned counters for her trip to Munich. The Info Centrum would only sell tickets for Prague public transport. (at least I think) - anyone feel free to correct me if wrong.

You are most probably right Penny perhaps someone will come along and tell us.

Yes- the Prague Information Service is as it says - for information, maybe bus/metro tickets as well, etc.

You are unlikely to be travelling in the small hours so there will be somewhere open for you to buy a ticket. If you are, then just go there the day before and buy a ticket then. Alternatively buy one on-line https://eshop.cd.cz/Default.aspx?lang=E

Thanks GCEK,

The O.P is in Prague at the moment.
