Hello there. I%26#39;m off to prague next weekend with some friends and i had a couple of questions that im struggling to find the answer to anywhere else.
Firstly, i only have a solo debit card - will this be ok to use in the ATMs in Prague?
Secondly, can anyone recommend a good place to get a traditional prague breakfast (if there is such a thing!)?
Any advice would be awesome.
Thanks!!!

A typical breakfast would be some kind of sweet pastry and a coffee. Most Czechs would have breakfast at home and that would be something like a regular cereal or maybe something known as a %26quot;cold plate%26quot; i.e. bread rolls, salami and ham etc.
Cafe Louvre on Narodni opens at 8am but it would help to know where you are staying.
As for Solo card I think this is the same as a Maestro so you wont have any problem.

Thanks for your help! We%26#39;re staying at the Cloister Inn if that helps?

I have stayed there and its very nice great location but nice and quiet, the breakfasts were not much to write home about typical of Prague hotels ,but there are quite a few cafes in the area but I do not know what time they open.

Thanks for your help.
It would also be great to know how things are priced in Prague at the moment. Has there been much of a knock-on effect as a result of the economic crisis? For example, how much would i be looking to pay for a pint (?) of Pivo? or a packet of cigaretts?

Cigs are about 67 crowns for L%26amp;B 70+ for Marlborogh
40- 45euros per day per person should be fine for your needs 2 meals and drinks but nothing too extravagant and maybe enough left over for other things you should be able to gauge it better after your first day.
I have been told you should steer clear of places that charge more than 40 crowns for a pint[sorry never touch the stuff]
