How can I convince my girlfriend to go to Prague

I%26#39;d like to take my girlfriend to Prague, but she%26#39;s not keen on the idea. She has the impression it will be full of groups of young men getting drunk on stag weekends.

Neither of us have been to Prague before.

How can I convince her to go?

Oh dear she does have the wrong impression, yes you might see the odd stag group but Prague is so beatiful and full of things to do and see it would be a shame to hold its reputation of a few year ago to it now.

I%26#39;m 29 and have been 3 times in the last 2 years with my boyfriend. Its a really special and romantic place with lots of nice restaurants, bars and of course traditional pubs. I think the most magical time of year to go is winter especially for the Christmas markets etc.

Tell her if she doesn%26#39;t like it after visiting she can pick the next place you go away to! I%26#39;m sure she will like it!

A very nice posting neveragaininkavos, by the way your TA name does it have a deeper meaning? I%26#39;ve read your report on Kavos!

go on the computer and show her pictures of the place or show her some of the topics on here with all the experts on here and the advice they give she will see its not a terrible place.

im heading over with my girlfriend in march, been 3 times before with my mates for a boozy holiday but even i realised there was so much more to the place than drinking in pubs (although the beer and pubs are great aswell) and decided i had to come over and do more of the sightseeing side of things

hi there, you would both absolutely love the place,my husband went on a stag do,can back and said he would like to take me,was a bit apprehensive, but was very suprised, wicked break, also been to tallin yet another beautiful place, hope you both make it to prague you wont regret it, dee xx

You will probably get more drunks per square foot in Sutton of a weekend, so don%26#39;t worry :)

You probably wouldn%26#39;t even notice them unless you went to the few places that they manage to end up in (mostly the overpriced Irish/English bars, and they are welcome to it!)

My boyfriend went there in the millenium and then went a couple of years ago for a stag do. Between this time he had always said he wanted to take me there. We finaly went together and all I can say it is an amazing place. It is so beautiful and romantic. Like any city in the world if you want to look for stag do%26#39;s and the usual places they might frequent you can, however there are so many other places you can go - cruise down the river by night for example. I personally loved sitting out in Old square with a nice mojito people watching.

I loved the place so much me and my now fiancee are getting married there this year in August. We cant think of a more perfect or romantic setting. Even if she doesnt want to go book up and surprise her. She will love it and you will def be in her good books for the romantic gesture!!!!

I agree with the above post. The other thing I suggest is to go to your local bookstore for coffee or tea and look through the Prague Book by DK. I think she%26#39;ll change her mind. I wish my web site was up, it is going to have a ton of Prague photos, but I am still building it.

Hi samj

I agree with all the other posters, I guess Prague has a bit of reputation for being full of stag parties, but we didnt see any while we were there, I certainly would not use it as a reson not to visit Prague.

Its a very beautiful city, especially around the old town and Charles bridge. If you can go around the time of the markets (xmas or easter - I know it will be a bit more expensive) the atmosphere is even better!.

As a last resort - you can tell her the shopping is good there also with lots of shops she%26#39;d be familiar with: zara, mango, bennetton, H%26amp;M and plenty of others :D

Hi, we went a couple of years ago and didn%26#39;t see any stagg do%26#39;s for the four days we were there, and thought it was the most beautiful place we had been to. Lots to see, found some lovely bars and restaurants. Would definitely go back.

Just open your laptop or pc show her videos or images and she will be delighted. Neverthless only drunk people in the centre of Prague are tourists.

and i dont remember any annoying behaviour from people in Prague.

moreover I am sure you have more options to convince your girl than these advices on TA forum:))
