Hi, we are back from Prague! Thanks for all the information and help given here, it make our trip smoothly and enjoyable. I think we took enough precaution so we don’t encounter any unhappy situation during our visit. Here is the short report for our Prague trip, hope it help for anyone who need the info.
We arrived Prague on 23 January morning, very cool weather. We took the CZK45 + luggage fee CZK5 express bus to Hlavni Nadrazi. The evening train ticket to Vienna is not selling here so we have to take metro to Nadrazi Holesovice. From here we bought our train ticket (CZK1074) and kept our luggages for only CZK60, and then we are free to explore the Jewish Quarter, Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. We browse around to look at the building, window shopping the souvenirs... then have a smooth ride to Vienna on 5.30pm
We back to Prague on 28 January night. The Hotel Atos we planed to stay was fully booked so we stay at Hotel Sofia at Americka, Vinohrady District. I really regret for not booking in advance as my partner insist of browse around before booking. Now onwards I can book any hotel without his approval. We tried to find restaurant Aromi on Manesova Street as per Peb7 suggestion for dinner but couldn’t find it, we found the street but no restaurant named Aromi, is it moved? We didn’t have the castle view during our stay from Riegrovy Sady Park as the weather was cloudy.
On 29 January we visited Prague Castle. In fact, the CZK350 entrance fee is only for the Golden Lane (free entrance after 4.30pm), St. George’s Basilica, Power Tower, Picture Galery, Daliborka Tower and Old Royal Palace (closed on winter but replace by exhibition “The Story of Prague Castle”). If you are not indented to visit the interior as mentioned, you may skip for the ticket as you still can visit Cathedral of St Vitus and other places in castle for free. After visit the castle, we have our late tea break at U-Raka. It should be a warm and romantic restaurant, but they are training a new girl, so they talk a lot and make a lot of noise when working, so… we didn’t have any romantic feeling but it does a very warm feeling restaurant. After the tea break, we went to Old Time Square again before 6pm. Here is our favourite place. We also did a little souvenirs shopping at Havelska Street market. We finish our day by having dinner at our hotel’s restaurant which served Bulgarian food, yummy…
30 January morning we took metro to and tram to Vsyehrad to visit the St Peter and St Paul Church but it’s closed. So, we visit the tomb beside the church. Then we continue our journey to Valdeijnska Garden… close for winter again! In fact, a lot of places we visited are under renovation… After that we have no purpose, no destination just walking here and there… we had coffee break at CafĂ© Louve, dancing house… at the end of the day we were back to Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square again. This night we had our dinner at Roof Terrance, we ordered Czech food but seem it wasn’t our favorite. Anyhow, it is a vey very good experience for us, it was chilly that night and we were having dinner between cool and warm feeling… it also have a very nice view for Clock Tower and Church of Our Lady. Thanks TORII for this recommendation.
31 January we check out early morning but kept our luggage with the hotel reception counter, and then we went to Petrin Tower, it’s really take my life to climb that tower! We had nice view for Prague Castle and Charles Bridge from the tower. After than we walk to Charles Bridge and done the final souvenirs shopping at Havelsaka Street again before we go home happily…

Hello Mint, good to hear from you, I suppose you are now back home to a nice warm weather?
Did you manage to go to Vienna and Salzburg? Did you see some snow? And what about that Karlovy Vary drinking cup?
Torii is on holidays this week, so I expect she will respond when she gets back.
Cheers, Penny

Hi Brewsta, we have no luck to find the Aromi. We were so hungry, once we drop the luggage immediately run to look for it. It%26#39;s so disappointed for not able to find it. Thanks for you info.
Hi Penny, we are back to KL on Sunday night. Yes, we did visit to Vienna and Salzburg and experience the 1st snow for my life in Salzburg! So excited! We were stay at Am Moos... the snow make the scenery just like the postcard!
We have no luck for the Karlovy Vary drinking cup, only able to buy the waffer in Havelsaka Street and Tesco. Must make a trip to Karlovy Vary next time ensure I have one of this drinking cup.
So far the most luck I have is fall sick on the last day before we board the plane... it is just too cool but I still like to visit on winter... :D
Hi thrahtobe, thanks for enjoy reading my report, I don%26#39;t know how to write a report, just thought it may just too simple.
