I am really interested in going on a day trip to Kutna Hora while i am staying in Prague next month. The two main things i would like to see are the silvermine and of course the Bone Church. I know you can get the train there but as i am aware the church is not on Kutna Hora but in a town called Sedlic(?) Can anyone give me a good plan to get to both. Ideally i would want to go about 9am and come back to Prague in the evening/late afternoon.
Thanks!

We%26#39;re also planning to do a day trip to Kutna Hora next month, but you should know the silvermine is closed from November-March.
There is also a local train that runs from the main station to the centre of town, if you don%26#39;t feel like walking, although I believe the Bone Church in Sedlec is closer to the main train station. This site gives you more details on transit in Kutna Hora.

there are plenty of other things to see in Kutna Hora. The Italian court building is superb,we had a private tour (well when I say private there were only 3 of us on it)It is a really lovely place.there is also a prety crappy torture museum in the basement of this building as you enter the courtyard on your right.St Barbaras Cathedral is well worth a visit and has some very interesting Murals. There is also an old water fountain/water storage place at the top of the town,it has been turned into an art and crafts gallery. There are sevral good returant/ bars in the town.
We had lunch in the Dacicky Pivince just set back from the street Rejskova,It has a log burning fire very good food and their own beer.
The toen is set on a hill and you get some great views of the whole area.
Both times I have been to Kutna Hora we got a train about 10.00am and were back in Prague by about 5.00 pm.

The real highlight of visit to Kutna Hora is Church of Assumtion of Virgin Mary, former church of Cisteciac Abbey - largest 13 century gothic church in Bohemia was seriously damaged in 15th century and more then 200 years later totally rebuild by greatest Baroque architect in Central Europe Jan Santini Eichel, who developed his individual %26quot;Baroque Gothic%26quot; style. Church was recently open after meticulous restoration.

We spent 2 nights in Kutna Hora as a side trip from Prague a few years ago (our second of 3 trips to prague). Great little town !!! I don%26#39;t understand why more people don%26#39;t stay a night there. Like Uncle Gus, we ate and drank the Dacicky Pivince. Great spot !!! Make sure you try the Boar Gulash. I think we ended up having all of our meals there. The bone church should not be missed.

the first time I went to the Dacicky Pivince,I had goulash soup in a bread bowl which was wonderful sepecially on a cold winter day..On my last visit I had the wild boar goulash which is truely fantastic.
