its hard as its so subjective

all city, thus the old town, lesser town and the castle area is the top. Although, if listed, i would go for this order:

1) the charles bridge (now, the going scaffolding sure downgrades the place)

2) the Prague Castle (particulary for its views and above all the gardens)

3) the Lesser Town - especially the little winding streets and lanes around Nerudova street on the way to the Prague Castle.

4) National Theatre (like the gold or golden decorations, and the structure always amazes me)

5)the Old Town Square (only in the summer early morning - without hustlers and touts)

If you like music, there are many daily options. Look at schedules posted outside churches as well as performance halls. You can walk everywhere to see the sights, or - after you walk cross the Charles Bridge, you can catch a tram up the hill to the castle. Having lunch at a sidewalk cafe near the famous old clock in the square in Old Town to watch the chiming of the hour is fun.

Do you know how long the scaffolding is going to be up on charles bridge? I am planning on a trip in April.

You can see Charles bridge on a webcam http://webcam.pis.cz/en/ .

On the Czech version of Prague Information Service www.pis.cz/cz/praha/pamatky/karluv_most is written this: First phase of reconstruction began 20.8.2007 and should be finished 11.6.2010. The second phase will last 8 to 10 years and during that time the stone cover(?) will be reconstructed. The picture from camera on the Lesser Town Bridge Tower is changed every 2 minutes http://webcam.pis.cz/en/ .

But don%26#39;t worry - it is always only a part of the bridge reconstructed, I think I have heard that the bridge wouldn%26#39;t be closed during the whole time of reconstruction.
