That%26#39;s much better:) Pocepice is near Pribram, easy to get there from Prague by bus.

Its rather little settlement of just 500 people, try to write to their municipal office, I am sure they can assist you and arrange meetings, get you access to chronicles etc.

If you look in the telephone book http://www.zlatestranky.cz/?siteLanguage=en there is one Mr. Cihak who lives just down the road from Pocepice.

That is not to say that there aren%26#39;t any more - he just happens to have a phone...

Hello, Joeclair

I saw your posting about Pocepice and the Chihak family. I have also been to Pocepice and my great grandmother was a Cihak/Chihak and family lived in the Cresco/Lourdes/Elma, Iowa area. Wondering if we%26#39;re cousins! Were you able to visit the inside of the church? It was locked while I was there and have been trying to find pictures of it.
