Staying near Prague Castle - best bars, cafes & restaurants?

Hi,

I%26#39;m staying in the Crown Plaza Prague Castle over Valentines weekend. I%26#39;ve checked out a few places, but any suggestions from people who will know more than me of any of the above nearby, or even not so near if you feel it%26#39;s worth the walk?

Thanks!

Ian

I just returned from a weekend trip to Prague with my girlfriend. We stayed at the Golden Wheel just below the castle, and we had a really enjoyable meal at Cowboys, which is located in Nerudova 40, just two minutes away from the castle.

I second Cowboys for their fab cocktails!

I gave up on Cowboy%26#39;s a few years ago. Maybe they got better.

Kampa Park has great views. Expensive.

Or the Golden Well.

Alchymist is pretty unique. Had a good dinner there a few years ago:

For good, inexpensive Balkan food (kitschy interior) try Luka Lu on Ujezd (on 22 tram line).

U maly velryby is small place for a reasonable international meal.

Cheers guys!

Any other ideas on cocktail bars as opinion seems to be divided on Cowboys and obviously the more suggestions the better!
