money missing

I%26#39;m trying to find someone who can help a friend of mine, she was scammed by someone in Praha for like $20,000, she mailed them money and never received what she paid for. Does anyone who lives there know a number of who she would talk to, or would she contact the FBI in the United States or her local Police Dept? You can email me at tan_der@hotmail.com, only serious replies please!

This is not exactly a travel related question, but what was this friend expected to get for 20K USD?

It was a NWA gift card and I am sorry it%26#39;s not a travel question but it%26#39;s the only place I could figure out to post at.

Your friend should contact the local US police, and you should try not to put your e-mail address on a public forum, or you will be targeted by scammers as well!

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is...

Oh my email address I posted is not one I normally use so I%26#39;m not worried about scammers. My friend already tried the local police and they can%26#39;t do anything. The FBI has been contacted and this person is known to them and we were informed on what to do as this is going to be pursued further. Thank you for all the replies and suggestions.
