travel advice needed

Hi

We arrive at prague airport round lunchtime on thurs and need to get to cesky krumlov with our 2 kids (3months and 4 yo). Have seen there is a bus or train/bus avail. What would you recommend for ease and to amuse our 4yo? thanks in advance

ps can speak polish and will have phrase book with us!

Just back from Prague and also included a trip to Cesky Krumlov which is a great choice especially for the kids. From what I understand there are both buses and trains available but the agent we used suggested we take a bus because it is a shorter trip with no changes whereas from what he said the train is about an hour longer and you have to change so probably not ideal especially with kids. The bus was nice and quite comfortable, a lot better than I expected actually:) We had a choice from four bus options from morning until evening leaving from a station near a district in Prague called Andel, cant remember the exact station name but if you get to Andel which is a stop on the metro you should be able to find it.

The name of the bus station in Andel area is Na Knizeci and it is on Nadrazni street.

There are buses this Thursday at 3pm and 7pm, but according to the reservation website there aren%26#39;t any more seats available.

Your next best option is to get a train from the Main Station leaving at 14.14, arriving at České Budějovice at 16.56 - you then have 5 minutes to catch the 17.01 train to Český Krumlov (it will wait, and the destination on the board for that train will be Kájov), and you arrive at 17.58.

NB the castle is closed at this time of year, but your kids will probably thank you for that :)

Thanks for your help. Was feeling a bit silly leaving everything to the last minute (a hangover from travelling solo!) but I was able to book tickets on a bus direct to CK!!

Unsure what the previous post was about but hope everyone has a stress free holiday time..

I am glad you managed to get on a bus OK!

Yes we can see that - so report it!

%26#39;TimKeane%26#39; - your cover is now (possibly) duly blown :) Perhaps in future you should put a disclaimer such as is placed by Praguepivo, then there won%26#39;t be any cause for complaint.
