Beer! What do y'all recomend?

I%26#39;ll be traveling through western CR and Slovakia. What beers do y%26#39;all recomend I try while I%26#39;m in the region. I like to try all that I can but is there a ale, lager, etc. that anyone recomends? Thanks.

What about the bit in the middle - i.e. Moravia? You%26#39;d be missing out on plenty if you just did the Western CR and Slovakia... :)

As for beer, just go for what is on offer - all are better than anything you might have tasted before, and the range is huge. Most towns have their own local breweries, or at least one that is not far away, so just go for the local brew.

Slovak beer is also not bad - there are only really three main ones: Zlatý bažant, Smädný mnich and Corgoň, but they are all pretty similar.

This is lager country.. and they do them well.

For strange and wondrous, you should go the Belgium but for lagers, you won%26#39;t do any better than what is available in the Czech Republic.

It isn%26#39;t the best, but it is almost a requirement for travelers from the United States to have a Budvar -- the beer for which that dreadful cat pee from Anheuser-Busch is named.

Absolutely no doubt about it. After many years on this earth, I still don%26#39;t know why anyone can drink this stuff...........but, then I like PBR even less.

Any of these places English friendly?

You don%26#39;t need much English - just follow the beer etiquette rules tripadvisor.co.uk/…10750387 (scroll down a bit) and you%26#39;ll be fine. Just bear this in mind as well tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g274707-i96-k239…
