Affordable hotel or pension/hostel near Zamecke Lazne

I%26#39;m planning to visit Karlovy Vary for a short 2-night stay in February. Is the winter season a good time to do so?

Hoping for some rest %26amp; relax, pampering time after a tiring ski trip, so wanted to check out some spa/massage services, but am not keen to seek medical consultation. Understand that Zamecke Lazne (Castle Baths) offers such a concept - just pampering wellness services without necessarily disease/medical treatments.

Could anyone recommend an affordable hotel or pension/hostel within near walking distance from Zamecke Lazne?

Also, am hoping to go around Karlovy sampling their spring waters, but understand that we can%26#39;t just spontaneously do so, but must seek prescription from a doctor first? Would Zamecke Lazne offer this type of consultation?

Thanks!

There is plenty of information about Karlovy Vary on the web and on the TA for accommodation. I stayed at Grand Hotel Pupp, and Hotel Ruze, Ruze is more central than Pupp and less expensive.

As regards the spring water, the majority of springs (12 I think) are situated at the Mill Colonnade, and although it is recomended to seek medical advice, you don%26#39;t really need it to just taste it for a couple of days. Absolutely no harm whatsoever.

Hello,

regarding the accommodation, check out the rates at either Promenada or Romance hotels, as they are situated directly opposite Zamecke Lazne. Concerning the water, I was told that Spring Six in the main collonade is the most %26quot;neutral%26quot;(and most often prescribed one) of the lot.
