I am sampling the Belgian beers this weekend, and hope to have as good time as you are going to have.
How does the beer compare? No idea.

taste,etc-wise would be difficult to compare as many of the most celebrated Belgian brews are completely different in terms of style, etc.
It all depends on your taste, though some of the stronger beers that craft brewers have been presenting lately can give those Belgians a serious run for their money.
