Night train to Budapest

Hi,

We%26#39;re travelling from Prague to Budapest in the middle of February (2 adults and a child), and we%26#39;re planning to take an overnight train.

Would we have to wait until we get to Prague to book tickets, or is it possible to book them in advance?

Grateful for any assistance.

Thanks.

Ulysses

It isn%26#39;t possible to book in advance (unless you want to pay well over the odds with Rail Europe) so you should go to the main station in Prague when you get there and book it then. It seems that for next year the times of the overnight train have been altered from last year so I don%26#39;t know how many couchette places there are on the new train - they may have increased it from the current single carriage, but I can%26#39;t see the demand being that great.

You should be fine - the seating carriages are quite comfortable as well and the seats can usually be pulled out to recline fully. The train shouldn%26#39;t differ too much from this one:
