here is a summary of my trip last week..
Bad Restaurants.
Only 1 Klub Architektu. I know people on here have recommended it thats why we went, but the food was a dissapointment, my starter was cold and had to send it back, you think they would have got the point but no when my main course arrived ..guess what ? Yup it was cold !!!
Good Restaurants.
There is a small street just off the old town square called Kozna (in big red letters) there are about 3 restaurants down there, we went to 2 one was called MLEJNICE and was allways full, if there was a table free it was snapped up in a minute, the food was fantastic and reasonable, we also went to the one next door called SPIKOS or something like and that was also great...there was also another restaurant on the corner an italian i think which always looked busy !!
We did a few mystery tram rides..caught no 8 To Brehnov Klaster monastary..nothing spectacular to be honest.
Found some interesting bars..the best was a place called %26quot;u vejvodu%26quot; on jilska which i thought was a great pub, very big inside but great beer and food, they had a new beer on..think it was a dark called Mater ? But it just tasted like a belgium trappist beer.
Also did Red Hot %26amp; Blues and actually found..with the aid of tram no 8 the Pivovarsky Klub...which im still not sure was a good idea because my head wasnt all there the following day !!!!!
Didnt get ripped off once and all in all had a good time..one thing i will mention is i dont know if its still a bit early but a few people were saying that there seems to be a lot less i.e brits and yanks..people around ?
Once again the hotel residence agnes was great..we even got to see the president of cz at the changing of the guard...some sort of speech and the troops walking past him saluting..all the tv cameras there..!!

Did you enjoy Prague? Did you get to any orchestras and such? Would you return? Have you been to the rural areas in the Czech Republic? As much as I like Prague I love other areas even more.

some surveys just as my own accounts suggest that Brits and Americans are kinda steadily replaced by tourists from the East especially from Poland, Sloavkia, Russia, Ukraine, and other post-soviet republics. The reason is quite clear. They are becoming well-off and more of them can afford such a holiday herein.
I am in city center almost daily and russian and russian-related languages prevail, second is English along with Spanish.
Not mentioning russians (mafia - the mob) controling souvenires and jewellry stores on the Prague Royal Road who have here somehow inrooted.
