first time & 50TH birthday

hI. We travel to Prague 1st week in Feb %26amp; I%26#39;m becoming a little anxious. I think I%26#39;m well travelled but not to this area. We are staying @ the Aksent hotel. I%26#39;ve thought about booking a boat trip for my friend who will be 50 on the Sun 8th but have been a little put off now by negative reviews. Any ideas @ £30 a head or less would be lovely. Tips on good bars %26amp; places to eat local to our hotel would be great. Also re; currency-if I go to atm with my uk debit (inc visa) card will that be accepted? Thanks

How about a night out at one of the Folklore shows as a night out,a bit more than £30 but you will get a meal ,drinks ,entertainment and transportation for an all in cost.

Firstly you have nothing to be anxious about !

You can use your card visa and debit in all the ATMs ,they are in the arrivals hall at the airport get them there when you arrive ,you wont need local currency before then,do Not use exchange bureauxs,stick with banks or atms there are lots of them.

As for the boat trip I always have a trip on the river what ever time of year it is but I would not eat a meal on one having read the reviews on here .

There are loads of bars and restaurants around, are you a male ,female or mixed group ,if so how many?this would help to determine which bars to tell you about.

Hi Tori. You obviously know Prague very well. We are 2 couples %26amp; the 50th birthday is my friends husband. I%26#39;ve had problems finding a trip for Sunday (the actual birthday) which is how the boat trip happened. We like a drink, good food but are on a limited budget alas.He%26#39;s a busy bloke so we want to relax more than anything. Thanks again. Tracy

i like the look of the best of prague walking tour, can you just turn up on the day or do you have to book in advance?

I am assuming you are from Manchester, so I think you will be very suprised, how Prague is prepared for tourists from the %26quot;right areas%26quot;.
